I may have added Small, Garfield, and Chicken Leg because I could have sworn that they were in the pack, but a lot of the files I had from here were misplaced, so I'm not sure.
Sonic mugen archive update#
I made some changes to update the pack a little bit. One final warning: Some of these characters are NSFW (they're tagged in the list so you know which ones), and there are also some punching bags (Chicken Leg, Elmo, Favic, Tokio Hotel, Twilight Suck). I also intended to gather a list of sites where these characters were originally hosted, but unfortunately, I can't find most of them. Some of the characters' authors in this pack were left blank (or as "Elecbyte"), so I'm not sure who made some of them. This also includes earlier versions of certain characters, such as Terran Marine, Morph, and others, as well as a modified version of Menos Grande by an unknown editor. This pack features the lesser known versions of those two. For example, idiot's Retarded Luigi & Wario have gone through many different phases where their sounds and sprites are different. You may notice that some of these characters are different than most of the more common releases you may easily find online. While I believe the intent of the original creator of this pack was for each of the characters to be "bashed" for being too poorly made, you can potentially use these for collections, videos, or even just messing around with them.
The characters range from having bizarre stats, to being spriteswaps of other characters, to having bad A.I., misaligned collisions, stolen code, unpredictable priority, poorly done or even stolen sprites, or perhaps all of the above. Personally, I see them as both and that's what I like about them.

Most of these characters are very rare, old, and offline (apart from sites like the MUGEN Archive, which is partially thanks to my efforts), and are considered very rare collector's pieces by some, and considered garbage by others. The characters in this pack are what used to be referred to back in the day as "Retarded" (meaning poorly made), however, that title doesn't really fly much in today's climate, so now most people invent their own titles for them. I happened to be able to recover most of the files and re-compile them into a single pack. This is a very old pack that was originally distributed in multiple parts on Arcadboy's old website in 2010, paired with the pack "cheap chars gets pwnd" (which I've also recovered and redistributed) that later went offline as the years went by.
